Enrolment 2020

Information about in-person enrolment

Dear Admitted Student!

The student-university legal relationship is established through enrolment following a successful admissions process, so it is crucial that you follow the outline of the enrolment process below exactly.

If you answered NO to all of the statements listed in C Document of the “Declaration of Epidemiological Involvement and Health Status”, you may enrol in the 2020/2021 autumn session in person at the University of Sopron. Otherwise, you can enrol electronically.

To enrol via the NEPTUN system, the applicant must have no payment obligations with payment deadlines preceding the enrolment date (i.e., there are no overdue financial items requiring payment).

Students must complete the following steps in the NEPTUN e-learning system before enrolling in person:

  • cross-check your personal data: please review the data you entered into NEPTUN during the admissions process as soon as possible; in particular, your full name as it appears on your identity card, identity card number, permanent address, tax identification number, TAJ (health services) number;
  • correct any discrepancies or provide any missing data as quickly as possible;
  • enter your bank account number in the NEPTUN system via “Settings” in the “Finances” menu;
  • print and sign the enrolment form from NEPTUN;
  • print and sign the “Declaration on Epidemiological Involvement and Health Status” form;
  • self-financed students must print and sign 2 copies of the programme contract from NEPTUN;
  • enrol for the autumn semester of the 2020/2021 academic year.

You will still need to enrol even if you do not want to start your studies in September 2020 (i.e. you want to start with a passive semester) as the suspension of studies and the setting of a passive semester must be declared in the NEPTUN system.

Please bring the following for in-person enrolment:

  • a printed and signed enrolment form from NEPTUN;
  • self-financed students – 2 printed and signed copies of the programme contract from NEPTUN (2 copies);
  • a printed and signed copy of the “Declaration on Epidemiological Involvement and Health Status” from NEPTUN;
  • students admitted in a full-time, higher vocational education programme: an original diploma and a legible photocopy thereof;
  • students admitted to a master's degree or specialist training programme: an original degree and a legible photocopy thereof;
  • an original language examination certificate and a legible photocopy thereof;
  • identity card;
  • address card;
  • tax card and TAJ card;
  • foreign students: passport and, if available, residence permit.

Please note, failure to enrol will invalidate your admission decision. Students with invalidated admission decisions can only begin their studies after completing a new and successful admissions process. It is mandatory to wear a mask during personal enrolment!
