The University of Sopron, through its high-quality educational, research and innovation activities and its social engagement, aims to operate as a continuously renewing, exemplary university knowledge center. The university leadership expresses its commitment to sustainable development and quality in the Mission Statement, Environmental Policy and Quality Policy.
The university leadership, academic staff and employees align themselves with the Bergen guidelines that include the quality policy recommendations of the European Higher Education Area. They consider the adaptation and continuous development of these guidelines as the foundation and defining direction of their quality management activities. The university and its faculties develop their improvement-oriented goals in line with the ESG 2015 standards and guidelines, taking into account the EFQM criteria.
The main objective of the Alexandre Lámfalussy Faculty of Economics is to provide students with marketable knowledge, enabling them to flexibly adapt to future labor market needs. This requires strong professional knowledge capital, adequate foreign language skills and the ability to navigate the digital environment.
Within its educational and scientific system, the Alexandre Lámfalussy Faculty of Economics strives to maintain a high professional standard, keeping student-centeredness in focus. This is supported by a unique environment and student-focused education, where human relationships also convey value.
Alongside excellent professional preparedness, foreign language proficiency is a key to success. Therefore, the faculty offers free language learning opportunities to students over four elective semesters.
Through our corporate and institutional partnerships, we provide practical, flexible training as well as internship opportunities.
We maintain wide-ranging international relations, which we continuously expand according to demand.
Our student-friendly timetable is designed to ensure students have as much uninterrupted free time as possible, which they can use for studying, relaxing, or part-time work—gaining practical experience.
To implement its quality policy, the Alexandre Lámfalussy Faculty of Economics has established a quality committee that actively involves key stakeholders in its operations. The committee ensures that its activities are regularly reviewed, evaluated, and further developed based on quality considerations and experiences.
The leadership of the Alexandre Lámfalussy Faculty of Economics strives to make quality-oriented thinking an integral part of the university's daily operations and expects all university citizens to support this commitment. The leadership supports academic integrity and freedom while strictly opposing academic dishonesty and standing firmly in defense of staff and students against any form of intolerance or discrimination.
